International Holocaust Memorial Day Ceremony

AN IN-PERSON EVENT SPONSORED BY THE OFFICE FOR ECUMENICAL AND INTERFAITH RELATIONS

The Archdiocese of Toronto is a founding member of the Christian Jewish Dialogue of Toronto (CJDT) now in its 50th year. Since 1945, January 27 has been designated as International Holocaust Remembrance Day, when the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp was liberated and is a privileged moment to remember the six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust and the millions of other victims of Nazi persecution. With CJDT, the Archdiocese organizes an annual service to honour the victims, survivors, and liberators of the Holocaust, expressing our ongoing commitment to promoting Shoah education in our city.
